TASTING CHEESE
I chose the name Tasting nel 2011 because for me it represented a sort of battle cry, an incitement to my favorite activity, that is to taste (everything, and everywhere).
Dopo qualche anno, this exhortation turned into a real profession: nel 2017, after attending two courses and passing two exams, I have indeed become Master Taster Onaf.
Since, I conduct cheese tastings, early service at events, I am a teacher for first level Onaf courses and a judge for national dairy competitions, I write articles for the dairy culture magazine Report, I contributed to the realization of food and wine events and I was a semi-finalist at National Competition Best Taster of the Year Onaf 2019, ranking me in eighth place (I talked about it here).
For some time now I have a column on Instagram call Tasting cheese, in which I tell the world of cheeses in a synthetic and essential way. A small initiative, which however allowed me to communicate with many people and to build a community of quality food enthusiasts.
TASTING CHEESE: THE WEB PROJECT
In this particular historical moment in which the world of food is still and many have some free time available, I thought of bringing together some cheese lovers and turn them into cheese storytellers, asking for stories from the respective regions of origin to be published here on the blog.
Thus was born this project of articles signed by guests, that I decided to call Tasting cheese like the Instagram address book, because it represents the ideal continuation (even if I'm not going to tell you here, but it is on that platform that some constructive relationships of confrontation and exchange were created, and therefore rightly so).
In the next few days i will be published guest post Of these storytellers Special, whom I thank for the availability and the enthusiasm with which they accepted this idea 🙂
At the moment the narrators who have joined are: Alice Sattanino (Piemonte), Valentina Bergamin (Lombardia), Silvia Coletto (Trentino Alto Adige) and Alessandro De Cesare (Lazio).
Of course anyone who wants to participate in the collection by telling the cheeses of their area is welcome!
