I ROTA, CHANGE OF STYLE MARKET SAN SEVERINO
A family of restaurateurs, that of Fierro.
It dates back to 2004 the opening of 'Hostaria De Rota in that Mercato San Severino, per volontà di Victor Fierro.
In August 2018 son Francesco Fierro imparts a turning point: nuovo nome, I Rota – Vino & Kitchen, new leadership (him in the kitchen and his wife Patrizia De Maio in sala), proposed new structure and new look, which now has modern and bright, with wood finishes and metal.
The restaurant's name refers to Oppidum Rota, the ancient name of Mercato San Severino, a place of transit for those forced from Avellino wanted to reach Salerno. Rotaticum was the transit toll to pay that was calculated for each wheel of the wagon.
The other daughter of Victor, Diana Fierro, is a well known knowledge on these pages as the smiling face Moera di Avella.
