The end of September is a very special time for autumn lovers: in fact, it marks the arrival of the season of the heart and the opening of their favorite experiential garden!
Sabato 20 September saw the start of the ninth edition of The Pumpkin Garden – Pumpkin Patch a Pignataro Maggiore, the largest themed garden in Europe which welcomes over every year 60.000 visitors.

THE PUMPKIN GARDEN – PUMPKIN PATCH: THINGS
The Pumpkin Garden – Pumpkin Patch was born in 2017 from the desire of the Italian-American Emily Turino to share the American tradition of picking pumpkins to decorate for Halloween and to recreate a corner of Connecticut on the family farm.
The Garden is therefore a true ode to the autumn season, to pumpkins, to agricultural work, to nature and animals.
All the pumpkins present are grown on site, one of a kind.
Accompanied by the notes of country music in the background, adults and children can choose their favorite pumpkin by picking it directly in the field and then decorate it in the appropriate carving or painting workshops.
To carry it around the park there are red wagon, the characteristic American red carts.

IN THE PUMPKIN GARDEN YOU SOW MEMORIES AND CULTIVATE EMOTIONS
In the spirit of living a relaxing and unhurried experience, here in the Garden you can wander around calmly, take photos between installations, sit on the porch or on the new maxi pumpkin-shaped armchair, or test yourself with the double corn maze: an educational one, designed to orient yourself and have fun, and the haunted labyrinth Haunted Corn Maze, che dal 18 October turns into “rural nightmare” for lovers of horror experiences (for which a specific ticket must be purchased).

It's impossible to leave empty-handed Pumpkin Shop, where you can find autumn gastronomic specialities (including the Pumpkin Spice Mix to enrich desserts and drinks), home decorations (handmade garlands and decorations, dried flowers, candles), souvenir with the logo and the three autumn-themed children's books written by Emily Turino.

NOVELTY 2025
The educational path has been strengthened, with visits for schools and families.
Among the new additions, stages dedicated to bees, agricultural games (with jumping mats, tractors, sandpit with excavators and circuits surrounded by greenery) and the dog playground (play area reserved for dogs).
Also brand new field of tag, an expanse of flowers with colors ranging from intense yellow to bright orange, symbol of hope and rebirth, with sensorial installations, tastings and seasonal infusions.
Another new feature in this edition, the collaboration with Campania ArteCard, which allows visitors to the Garden to discover the artistic and cultural heritage of the region at favorable conditions.

Also in the refreshment area - including street food stands and benches to sit and eat- pumpkins and the color orange are the protagonists. The menu at the Pumpkin Garden includes gluten-free foods, lactose free, vegetarians and attentive to all types of diet.
Among the first courses, Pumpkin gnocchi or pumpkin crescents with butter and sage, then pizza or pinsa with pumpkin and gorgonzola, pumpkin piadina with vegetables, Jacket Pumpkin (pumpkin stuffed with beans and bbq sauce), pumpkin meatballs, fiori di zucca fritti.
Pumpkin also in desserts, like the Pumpkin Spice Donut (Emily Turino's favorite), Pumpkin Bread and ice cream with pumpkin spice topping.

USEFUL INFORMATION
The Pumpkin Garden – Pumpkin Patch will be open until 2 novembre.
Tickets can be purchased exclusively on the website.
The openings of the Garden will close with the celebrations of Thanksgiving Day (which falls on the fourth Thursday of November), with a large collective lunch. Additional dates will be communicated later.
Although it is an anniversary that is part of American tradition (and Canadian), however, it is an opportunity to celebrate gratitude, to give thanks for the beautiful things and people that surround us every day.
Exceptionally, to maintain the customs of the festival, the turkey will be served with sauces and side dishes, oltre ai dolci; However, a vegetarian option is guaranteed as a main course.
