ROSTÌ RENEWS AND DOUBLES WITH LABBOTEGA
Rosti – Not a normal takeaway it is one of our favorite places, for many reasons.
We have been back several times since discovering it at a press dinner (which), and we were able to ascertain that the business works very well, eccome!
Thanks to a defined project and an efficient and very young team, all under 25: just think that the largest of the group, the founder Matteo Del Cuoco, he was born in 1999.
We like Rostì because it can satisfy any desire: as much or little fame, slow or fast meal, savory or sweet treat.
Vegetarians have several preparations to choose from.
And finally we add that it is also dog friendly.
THE MENU
Fried foods are naturally the cornerstone of the proposal. But this is no ordinary takeaway!
There are no ready-made things at a counter like in street food takeaways, but everything is done at the moment, fritto on demand.
The fried foods are hot, greedy, golden, dry, practically perfect.
Two examples: Mozzarella in carrozza with sweet and sour Neapolitan-style pepper ketchup (very streamlined, and with a space cream!) and the bon bon of panko-breaded sausage with broccoli emulsion and Irpinian caciocavallo cheese, also available in the version with ricotta instead of meat.
But there is also pasta. Very good, è di produzione propria, and you can also buy at With Labbotte, the spin-off laboratory/shop that also sells the house sauces and creams.
The first courses are completed by abundant and tasty condiments, with an intense flavour.
In the menu we find:
Cheese, Pepper and Truffle: Handmade Cappellacci filled with pecorino romano mousse, spuma di parmigiano 30 mesi, mixed peppers and black truffle from Bagnoli Irpino.
Genoese Neapolitan: Bronze drawn ziti, Genoese sauce and parmesan 30 mesi.
Tagliatelle with porcini mushroom cream, Parmigiano Reggiano foam and porcini mushroom crumble.
Super-stuffed (but without falling into excess) also the sandwiches.
NEWS FROM ROSTÌ
Since our previous visit, desserts have also been included on the menu.
At the moment there are Peanuts and Caramel (Cocoa crumble, peanut mousse, salted caramel and praline peanuts) it's RostiMisù (Dark chocolate brownies, mascarpone mousse and zabaglione foam).
The compostable tableware in the dining room has been replaced by ceramic plates, for a more comfortable experience.
The beverage menu is always evolving.
An additional weekly shift has been added, that of Tuesday lunch.
Plans for the future? A Rostì dedicated to seafood proposals.
The "grand old man" Matteo is full of initiatives!
WITH LABBOTS
He inaugurated 9 ottobre With Labbotte, just 300 meters from the parent company.
Lab as a fresh pasta laboratory (stuffed or not) and shop selling self-produced ready-made sauces and selected products from other companies.
A museum of gastronomic art, as they like to call it here.
To complete the work, the shop for online purchases.
Upon reservation, it is also possible to make special pasta shapes.
On Thursdays and Fridays in the store there are promotions for the purchase of 1 kg of fresh pasta plus a jar of sauce or cream of your choice.
