THE GREAT BREAKFAST OF MOERA IN AVELLA
It was born as an inn, he continued as a garden restaurant and today is a farm and shop: Il Moera of Avella produce, sells and makes you taste delicious things.
An address of the most precious taste: an agri-food shop with its own products and specialties from other local companies, a virtuous network to enhance the territory surrounding the mountainous complex of the feverfew.
The iconic product of Il Moera is the wild garlic pesto, to which over time other condiments and sauces have been added, followed by fruit nectar and extra jams, in addition to vegetables and fresh eggs from Livornese hens (there are 60 the farmyard!).
Obviously the queen of Avella is not missing in the shop, the nocciola, in purity or in the form of exceptional spreads!
And then cheeses, salumi, farine, cereali, mountain legumes, indigenous herbal teas…
Themed events and tastings are organized periodically.
Domenica 2 August the format debuted The great Breakfast of the Moera, breakfast with many sweet and savory products of the house and of friendly producers.
On the large outdoor terrace of the farmhouse – recently repainted – tables were set up for guests (made from large wooden reels) and the buffet with service by Diana Fierro; to the chef Francesco Fusco the task of preparing eggs in the kitchen, soft-boiled or scrambled, garnish with a pinch of wild garlic powder, the wild plant that grows spontaneously on the mountains of Partenio and which here in Moera is transformed above all into extra virgin olive oil pesto.
For breakfast, to the choice, tarts, plum cake, apple pies, sour cherry biscuits, pastry chef croissant Pasquale Pesce, red dappled milk and yogurt Savoy farm, confetture, apricot nectar, crusty bread, feverfew honey, hazelnut creams, frutta secca, ricotta and salami, al costo di 15 euros per person. Bites and sips of genuineness and nature.
After having tasted all the delights possible we certainly could not leave without hoarding the shop (which is also beautiful, with sage green walls, ancient cupboards and dried flowers under the ceiling). Anzi, we suggest you bring your shopping bags, because going out empty-handed is absolutely impossible.
Other thematic gluttonous events are scheduled at Moera: foodies advised!
