THE BEAST APPLE ARRIVES IN NAPLES
Great news for mussel chowder fans: opened in Naples La Mela Stregata, whose workhorse - which has established itself in the Lusciano headquarters - is the very tasty seafood specialty, crostacei, polpo, cherry tomatoes and croutons.
The Luscianese format created by Antonio D’Ausilio and Santa Di Mauro has doubled in the Campania capital near the Lungomare Partenope, with a cozy place with a restricted menu but "full" of content.
The press presentation was organized by the journalist Laura Gambacorta.
There is no pizza in the Neapolitan restaurant, unlike the parent company; the offer is entirely focused on the flavors of the sea: la zuppa di cozze, in primis (also in the Royal variant with Canadian lobster), but also a lot of cod, declined in appetizers, first and second courses.
We particularly love this whole Campania mussel soup, for the always fresh ingredients and for the delicious sauce that forms on the bottom of the pan.
We missed her a lot this year on the occasion of Holy Thursday, in which we were all locked up due to the lockdown!
The chef is in charge of the kitchen Salvatore Sacco, while the room is managed by Mateusz "Matteo" Jan Chciuk.
Santa Di Mauro remains the resident chef of La Mela Stregata di Lusciano.
Don't miss the dessert that gives the place its name, la Mela Stregata appunto: an annurca apple enclosed in puff pastry with lots of custard and caramel sauce, very greedy. A very secret recipe from Santa Di Mauro, developed by assembling family traditions and local ingredients.
The dishes are available for take-away and soon also with home delivery.
A good idea also for Ferragosto, what are you saying?
