MON SCIÙ
It opened in February in the heart of the city of Naples Mon Sciù, small pastry shop of a pastrychef globetrotter.
A "small but full of devotion" place, as we say in our part, located in the historic center, along one of the ancient cornerstones of the city, Via Duomo.
No traditional sweets, only single portions of international inspiration, all delicious, from tartlets to choux (which are called here in Naples, appunto, I know). But also chocolates, modern cakes and biscuits.
The owner and author of the delicacies is Mariachiara Cianciaruso, eclectic pastry chef who gained multiple experiences abroad before opening her Neapolitan creature.
We discovered Mon Sciù thanks to social media, attracted by a dessert that we like very much but that we had never found in Naples, ovvero la Lemon pie.
It was our first purchase, and it was wonderful to find the taste of the French lemon meringue again, but with the Neapolitan imprint of the Campi Flegrei lemons. The combination of lemon cream – fresh and sour – and the sweet and enveloping meringue is irresistible!
The house specialties always have an unusual note, an original touch, particular ingredients such as infusions, spezie, herbs.
Ad esempio, chocolate mousse with chai tea infusion, gli choux al lemongrass, the salted sable with herbs from Provence.
We have also dared a little more daring creations, like a matcha and salted caramel tarte decorated with caramelized popcorn.
Also try the financier, the cheesecake and the soft chocolate.
Each taste is a sensation out of the ordinary.
The home delivery service is also active, so give yourself a gift and try these delights made with Belgian experience and Neapolitan passion.
